Composition:
Tamsulosin Hydrochloride 400 micrograms (0.4mg) in a modified-release capsule

Uses / Indication:

Treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH)

Helps relieve urinary symptoms such as:

Difficulty in starting urination

Weak stream

Urgency and frequent urination

Incomplete bladder emptying

Direction of Use:

Adults (Men): 1 capsule (0.4mg) once daily, taken after the same meal each day

Swallow whole — do not chew or crush the capsule

Not recommended for use in women or children

Side Effects:

Dizziness (especially on standing up)

Headache

Ejaculation disorders

Runny or blocked nose

Fatigue

Rare: hypotension, skin rash, or syncope

 May cause postural hypotension — caution when driving or operating machinery

Interactions

May interact with other alpha-blockers, antihypertensives, cimetidine, and PDE5 inhibitors (e.g., sildenafil)

Caution

Inform ophthalmologist before cataract surgery (risk of intraoperative floppy iris syndrome). Use with caution in patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment.
