Product Composition
Each tablet contains Folic Acid 5 mg with inactive excipients.

Uses / Indications
Used for the treatment and prevention of folic acid deficiency. It is indicated in folate-deficiency anaemia (megaloblastic anaemia), during pregnancy to support normal fetal development and help prevent neural tube defects, and in conditions associated with increased folate requirement or poor absorption. 

Direction of Use
Take as directed by a healthcare professional. The usual adult dose is 5 mg once daily, depending on the condition being treated. It can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day.

Side Effects
Common side effects may include nausea, abdominal discomfort, bloating, flatulence, loss of appetite, and mild allergic reactions in rare cases.

Warnings / Interactions
Folic acid may mask vitamin B12 deficiency and should not be used alone in undiagnosed anaemia without proper medical evaluation. May interact with certain anti-epileptic drugs (e.g., phenytoin, phenobarbital), reducing their effectiveness. Inform your healthcare provider of all medications being taken.

Caution
Use with care in patients with vitamin B12 deficiency, epilepsy, kidney disease, or malabsorption disorders. Long-term use should be monitored by a healthcare professional. Do not exceed the recommended dose. Keep out of reach of children and store in a cool, dry place.
