Product Composition:
Atorvastatin Calcium equivalent to Atorvastatin 20mg

Uses / Indication:

Treatment of hypercholesterolemia (high cholesterol)

Management of mixed dyslipidaemia

Prevention of cardiovascular events in patients at high risk (e.g., diabetes, hypertension, smoking, family history of heart disease)

Used to lower LDL-C (bad cholesterol), total cholesterol, triglycerides, and raise HDL-C (good cholesterol)

Direction of Use:

Take as prescribed

Maintain a cholesterol-lowering diet during therapy

Side Effects:

Headache

Muscle pain or weakness

Diarrhea

Joint pain

Rare: liver enzyme abnormalities, rhabdomyolysis, allergic reactions

Warnings / Interactions / Caution:

Warnings: Contraindicated in active liver disease, pregnancy, and breastfeeding

Interactions: May interact with grapefruit juice, antifungals, macrolide antibiotics, HIV protease inhibitors, and fibrates

Caution: Monitor liver function tests and creatine kinase (CK) levels during therapy. Report any unexplained muscle pain, tenderness, or weakness.
