Vermox Tablets are anthelmintic medicines used to treat infections caused by intestinal worms such as:
Pinworms (Enterobiasis)
Roundworms (Ascariasis)
Whipworms (Trichuriasis)
Hookworms
Mixed intestinal worm infections
Mebendazole works by inhibiting the worms’ ability to absorb glucose, causing them to lose energy and die.
Take the tablet by mouth, with or without food.
The tablet may be chewed, swallowed whole, or crushed if necessary.
Typical dosage:
Pinworms: One tablet (100 mg) taken as a single dose, repeated after 2 weeks if necessary.
Other worm infections: One tablet (100 mg) twice daily for 3 days or as directed by a healthcare professional.

Common side effects may include:
Abdominal pain
Diarrhea
Nausea or vomiting
Gas (flatulence)

Rare but serious side effects:

Avoid using with Metronidazole due to risk of severe skin reactions.
Cimetidine may increase the level of mebendazole in the blood.
Carbamazepine and Phenytoin may reduce the effectiveness of the medicine.
