1. Composition
- Sodium Bicarbonate – 1 g per 100mL

2. Uses / Indications
Auntie Mary Gripe Mixture is used for:
- Relief of infant and child colic (“gripes”)
- Reducing gas, bloating, and abdominal discomfort
- Relief from flatulence and mild stomach upset
- Neutralizing mild excess stomach acid
- Relief from teething discomfort.
3. Direction for Use
· Newborn infant: 2.5ml spoonful
· 1 – 6 months old: one 5ml spoonful
· 6 months – 1 year old: two 5ml spoonful
- Infants (2 years and over): two to three 5 mL spoonful.
- These doses may be given during or after each feed or up to 8 times in 24 hours
- Use a measuring spoon or cup for accurate dosing
4. Side Effects
- Generally well tolerated
- Rare side effects may include:
- Mild diarrhea or constipation
- Mild allergic reactions (rash or skin irritation)
- Mild nausea
5. Warnings / Interactions / Cautions
- Do not exceed recommended dose
- For infants, use under pediatric guidance
- Avoid use in children with:
- Known allergy to any ingredient
- Severe gastrointestinal disorders
- Long-term or excessive use may cause electrolyte imbalance due to sodium bicarbonate
- Store in a cool, dry place, out of reach of children
