Composition:
Chlorpheniramine Maleate 4mg

Uses / Indication:

• Relief of allergy symptoms such as runny nose, sneezing, itching, watery eyes

• Treatment of hay fever (allergic rhinitis), urticaria (hives), and other allergic skin conditions

• Adjunct in the treatment of anaphylaxis after acute symptoms are controlled

• Relief of cold symptoms and insect bite reactions

Direction of Use:

• Adults and children over 12 years: 4mg every 4–6 hours as needed

• Maximum: 24mg in 24 hours

• Children 6–12 years: 2mg every 4–6 hours (maximum 12mg/day)

• Should be taken with or without food, as directed by a healthcare provider

Side Effects:

• Drowsiness

• Dry mouth, nose, or throat

• Dizziness

• Gastrointestinal discomfort

• Less commonly: blurred vision, difficulty urinating

Warnings/Interactions:

• Warnings: Use with caution in patients with glaucoma, enlarged prostate, asthma, or hyperthyroidism

• Interactions: May interact with alcohol, sedatives, tranquilizers, and other antihistamines (increased risk of sedation)

• Caution: May cause drowsiness; avoid driving or operating heavy machinery. Not recommended for children under 6 years without medical advice.
