Product Composition

Each tablet contains Levothyroxine Sodium 100 mcg as the active ingredient.

Uses / Indications
Accord Levothyroxine 100 mcg is used for the treatment of hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid), including primary, secondary, or congenital hypothyroidism. It is also used for thyroid hormone replacement after thyroid surgery or to manage goiter (enlarged thyroid) and certain types of thyroid cancer. Levothyroxine is a synthetic form of the thyroid hormone thyroxine (T4), which helps regulate metabolism and maintain normal body functions.

Direction for Use
Take one tablet once daily, preferably on an empty stomach, 30–60 minutes before breakfast. Swallow the tablet with a full glass of water. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Dosage may be adjusted based on blood tests and individual response.

Side Effects
Common side effects may include palpitations, tremors, headache, insomnia, sweating, and mild diarrhea. Rare but serious side effects may include chest pain, rapid or irregular heartbeat, severe nervousness, or signs of overdose. Seek medical attention if serious symptoms occur.

Warnings / Interactions
This medicine may interact with antacids, iron supplements, calcium supplements, certain cholesterol-lowering drugs, and some anticonvulsants, which can reduce absorption. Use caution in patients with heart disease, adrenal insufficiency, or diabetes. Regular monitoring of thyroid function tests is recommended during treatment.
