Composition:
Lisinopril 10mg

Uses / Indication:

• Treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Management of heart failure

• Improvement of survival following myocardial infarction (heart attack)

• Treatment of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 1 diabetes and proteinuria

Direction of Use:

• Usual adult dose: 10mg once daily, may be adjusted based on clinical response

• Can be taken with or without food

• Continue therapy regularly as directed, even if symptoms improve

Side Effects:

• Dizziness or lightheadedness (especially after the first dose)

• Dry cough

• Headache

• Fatigue

• Hyperkalemia (elevated potassium levels)

• Rare: angioedema, rash, renal impairment

Warnings / Interactions:

• Warnings: Contraindicated during pregnancy (especially 2nd and 3rd trimesters); discontinue immediately if pregnancy is detected

• Interactions: May interact with diuretics, potassium supplements, NSAIDs, lithium, and other antihypertensive agents

• Caution: Monitor blood pressure, kidney function, and serum potassium levels regularly. Use with caution in patients with renal artery stenosis or impaired renal function.
