Composition:
Amlodipine Besylate 5mg

Uses / Indication:

• Management of hypertension (high blood pressure)

• Treatment of chronic stable angina and vasospastic angina

• Helps to prevent strokes, heart attacks, and kidney problems by lowering blood pressure

Direction of Use:

• Usual adult dose: 5mg once daily

• Dose may be adjusted by a healthcare provider based on clinical response (maximum: 10mg once daily)

• Can be taken with or without food, preferably at the same time each day

Side Effects:

• Swelling of the ankles or feet (peripheral edema)

• Dizziness or lightheadedness

• Headache

• Flushing

• Fatigue

• Rare: nausea, abdominal pain, or palpitations

Warnings / Interactions / Caution:

• Warnings: Use with caution in patients with heart failure or liver impairment

• Interactions: May interact with CYP3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ketoconazole, erythromycin), other antihypertensives, and grapefruit juice

• Caution: Avoid abrupt discontinuation; monitor blood pressure regularly. Caution in elderly patients due to risk of hypotension.
