Product Composition
Each tablet contains Indapamide 1.5 mg (sustained-release) and Amlodipine 10 mg as the active ingredients.
Uses / Indications
Natrixam 1.5 mg/10 mg is used for the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults whose blood pressure is already controlled with indapamide and amlodipine taken separately. It helps lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other cardiovascular complications.
Direction for Use
Take one tablet once daily or as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water and do not crush or chew it. It is preferably taken in the morning and may be taken with or without food.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, fatigue, swelling of the ankles or feet, flushing, nausea, and increased urination. Less common but serious side effects may include low blood pressure, electrolyte imbalance, severe allergic reactions, or irregular heartbeat. Seek medical attention if severe symptoms occur.
Warnings / Interactions
This medicine may interact with other blood pressure medications, lithium, corticosteroids, certain heart medicines, and drugs that affect electrolyte balance. Use with caution in patients with kidney disease, liver problems, heart disease, gout, or electrolyte disturbances.
Caution
This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy and should be used with caution during breastfeeding after consulting a healthcare professional. Elderly patients may require monitoring of blood pressure and electrolyte levelsduring treatment. Avoid excessive alcohol consumption as it may increase dizziness or low blood pressure.
