Product Composition
Each prolonged-release tablet contains Nifedipine 20 mg with inactive excipients.


Uses / Indications

Used in the treatment of high blood pressure (hypertension) and angina pectoris (chest pain) by relaxing blood vessels and improving blood flow.

Direction of Use
Take one tablet once or twice daily as prescribed by a healthcare professional. Swallow the tablet whole with water and do not crush or chew, as it is a prolonged-release (retard) formulation.

 

Side Effects
Common side effects may include headache, dizziness, flushing, swelling of the ankles or feet, palpitations, and fatigue.

 

Warnings / Interactions
Use cautiously with other antihypertensive drugs, as it may enhance the blood pressure-lowering effect. Interactions may occur with grapefruit juice, certain antibiotics, antifungal medicines, and beta-blockers.

 

Caution
Use with caution in patients with heart disease, liver impairment, or severe low blood pressure. Do not stop the medication suddenly without medical advice. Store in a cool, dry place and keep out of reach of children.
