Composition

Each film-coated tablet contains 10mg of Amlodipine (Amlodipine Besylate) and 160mg of Valsartan

Uses/Indications

It is used in the treatment of essential hypertension in patients not adequately controlled on monotherapy and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events like stoke and heart attack

Dosage 

Recommended dose is 1(10/160mg) tablet once daily. It may be taken with or without food. Dosage may be adjusted based on blood pressure response. 

Side Effects

Common:

• Dizziness
• Edema (swelling of legs/ankles)
• Headache
• Flushing

Severe (seek medical attention):

• Hypotension (very low blood pressure)
• Hyperkalemia (high potassium levels)
• Kidney dysfunction
• Allergic reactions: swelling, rash, difficulty breathing

Warnings/Drug Interactions 

Pregnancy: Contraindicated – may cause injury or death to the foetus

Kidney/Liver impairment: Use with caution

Heart conditions: Use cautiously in patients with aortic stenosis or heart failure
